The Batman production on hold Matt Reeves coronavirus Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The film industry is in more or less alarming straits as the coronavirus has basically shut down all production and theatrical releases. That's meant a host of films have had to stop work and the latest to be confirmed is Matt Reeves' The Batman, which wish make for Robert Pattinson into the role as the dealership is rebooted yet again. The movie was already believed to be on hold, but Reeves broke the official news o'er Twitter:

The Batman cinematography was occurring at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England, and Glasgow Cathedral, in Glasgow, Scotland when activities were suspended. The U.K. has been shutting down systematically over the past a couple of weeks, so it shouldn't fare as much of a surprisal that The Batman is impotent to go forward. The picture show is forthwith likely to be delayed aboard a host of other movies WB has already postpone, including Wonder Woman 1984 and The Matrix 4. The studio, like every separate uncomparable, leave have to make any weather-beaten decisions about its release schedule in the future.

Information technology's not all bad news, however. On the other pull of the superhero pool, Marvel is moving ahead with pre-production on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Rage and still plans to begin shooting for the film in June. The film's production squad has been working from menage on the picture show and, barring the coronavirus continued to comprise an issue, will film atomic number 3 expected. IT's not all good news for the MCU either, though. We've known for a while at present that Shang-Chi and the Fable of the Ten Rings is along hold.
